Mick Jagger Takes the Stage with The Rolling Stones in 1981.

On the 9th and 11th of October 1981, approximately 180,000 fans turned out to see The Rollings Stones at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

In a 1981 news article written by Robert Hilburn a few days later, Jeff Levine (18 at the time) was asked why he paid $15 to “see” the concert when he was so far from the stage. Levine replied, “It’s a bargain. I paid $16 last year to see ‘Beatlemania’ and they were actors. In another year or two, we may have to settle for actors who’ll play the Stones. But now we can see the real thing.”
