Already a bona fide star on the classical music scene, Joanna Forest is a soprano vocalist with big future ahead of her. Having already performed with the likes of Paul Potts, the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and more, her debut album ‘Stars Are Rising’ made her the first independent artist to reach number one in the Official Classical Album chart.

Her latest single is a great example of why she has been so successful. It’s an operatic version of David Bowie classic ‘Life On Mars’, which takes the original song and layers it together with a full orchestra.

It’s an approach which has proved successful on the album, allowing listeners to enjoy songs they already know, but with a very fresh sound and feel. And the constant throughout is the brilliant soprano vocal of Joanna Forest.
