U2 frontman Bono has apologised for adding his band’s new album to iTunes users’ libraries around the world for free, in spite of the fact that nobody was under any obligation to actually listen to it.
In an online Q&A session, a user accused the band of being ‘rude’ to which Bono’s reply included:
“There’s a lot of noise out there. I guess we got a little noisy ourselves to get through it.”
‘No Line on the Horizon’, their last LP, went to number one in the album chart and sold over five million copies.
