With her album due for release this coming Friday, Adele has been celebrating the success of the teaser single ‘Hello’ which has taken just three weeks to go platinum. Having sold more the 600,000 copies since release, it remains at number one with over 30,000 more weekly sales than the closest rivals.

Elsewhere in the charts, Elvis Presley’s ‘If I Can Dream’ stays as album number one, reworking his classic songs with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Further down the chart, Ed Sheeran set a new record with his album ‘X’ becoming the longest reigning in the top 10 for a British artist. It’s been in the chart for 73 consecutive weeks after being released in June 2014.
