Ed Sheeran will be hoping his album ‘x’ can remain at top spot for one more week – to equal the eight week achievement of James Blunt’s ‘Back To Bedlam’ in 2005 – having taken top spot for the seventh consecutive time this week. Dolly Parton continues her strong post-Glastonbury showing at number two with album ‘Blue Smoke’, with the top five rounded out by Sam Smith, Coldplay and George Ezra.

Meanwhile, in the singles chart, Norwegian duo Nico and Vinz realised a lifelong dream by topping the UK singles chart with their track ‘Am I wrong?’.

Last week’s number one, Magic!’s ‘Rude’, still rides high at number two, with One Republic ‘Love Runs Out’, Cheryl Cole ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ and George Ezra’s ‘Budapest’.
