‘It’s My Birthday’ feat. Cody Wise, the new single from Will.i.am, has given the rapper/producer/songwriter his tenth number one in the UK singles chart.

Last week’s number one, ‘Problem’ (Ariana Grande) moved to number two, while Ella Henderson was knocked to three with ‘Ghost

Meanwhile, in the album chart, Ed Sheeran held on to number one for the third week running – halting competition from Manic Street Preachers and Glastonbury darling Dolly Parton. Sheeran’s ‘x’ (multiply) album also went into the US charts in top spot, though he’s now at number two across the pond.

New entries into the album chart include ‘Live Life Living’ from Example, which entered the rankings at number 8.
