Following the hospitalisation of frontman Alex Trimble with a stomach complaint, Two Door Cinema Club have been forced to cancel their headline slot at Latitude this Friday. It would have been their first UK healdine slot at a mainstream festival, but they are now set to be replaced by Lily Allen.
In a statement, the band apologised for the unforeseen cancellation and described themselves a ‘devastated’, having also cancelled a gig at Bournemouth Academy this week.
It’s a real shame for the band, who had said in interviews not to long ago that they were ready to ‘smash it’ when they headlined the festival having been one of the first acts announced. The Black Keys and Damon Albarn are the other two headliners.
