The Isle of Wight Festival, now celebrating its 50th year this summer, has a simply stunning line up ready to celebrate what will be an anniversary to remember.  This is truly an iconic festival and has proved as such since being revived in 2002 that its a proper party on the island every year, strength on strength with each year’s list of performers.  This year will be no exception and looks to top recent years.

The event promoter, John Giddings (recently featured on the BBC 4 series of ‘Hits, Hype and Hustle: An Insider’s Guide’ which detailed the truly fascinating history of the festival itself through John’s narrative) has created something golden for this years’ festival weekend and one simply not to be missed.  Set to be another memorable few days, there is something to appeal to everyone with a clever collection of artists and performers across many genres that will create a definite buzz and excitment.

Loads of new acts have been recently announced and along with the details of the stellar, unmissable list of bands that will be illuminating the main stage:


Friday—Headliner Kasabian, The Script, Chase and Status (DJ Set), Nile Rodgers and Chic, Rita Ora, Feeder, Circa Waves, Tom Greenan, Walking on Cars


Saturday—Headliner Depeche Mode, Liam Gallagher, James Bay, Blossoms, Hacienda Classical, Kodaline, Jessie J, Soul II Soul, Tokio Myers, Louise, Catherine McGrath, Judas, Rothwell


Sunday—Headliner The Killers, Manic Street Preachers, Van Morrison, Camila Cabello, Sheryl Crow, The Skids, The Professionals
