Jay Z has announced his first new album since 2013’s Magna Carta Holy Grail. The rapper released a new trailer for the upcoming project along with a snippet of a new track called “Adnis.” It also shows a seems to show a new film of the same name, 4:44, which stars Danny Glover and Mahershala Ali. Both projects are set to release on June 30th but it is not clear whether it will be a visual album or if the film is a separate piece to go along side the release.
4:44 will be an exclusive to TIDAL along with the mobile phone carrier Sprint. Every Sprint customer will receive a 6 month trial of the music streaming service. This partnership will support the 1Million Project which will be connecting low-income high school students to the internet.
The album first appeared on ads in New York and several music websites. Soon after this they started appearing in Los Angeles along with the date June 30th, 2017. At first it wasn’t clear what the project was going to be but TIDAL has now announced that it will be HOV’s next album.
