Running from 15th-31st of August, the Liverpool International Music Festival have released the first details of their lie-up for this year. With over 200 performers expected in all, they have confirmed that Kid Creole and Boy George will appear, while Ian Broudie & the Lightning Seeds will be backed by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in Sefton Park.

One of the aims of the festival is working with their solo acts to create unique collaborations for the festival, which makes things interesting seeing as other confirmed acts include the eclectic likes of Shaggy, Tim Burgess, Goldie, The Hoosiers, Lemar, the Farm, Marsha Ambrosius and John Power.
