Ireland’s biggest music festival Oxegen has been cancelled this year ‘due to a lack of headline acts combined with financial demands by agencies’. Originally slated for August, the festival organisers have declared that the festival is no longer possible in its current form.

Having already downsized last year’s festival (headlined by David Guetta, Calvin Harris and Snoop Dogg), things were already looking tough for this year’s event – a shame for a weekend that attracted 80,000 people not too long ago.
