Pharrell Williams’ track ‘Happy’ has become the first single to top the charts on three separate occasions in almost 60 years.

The song, which returned to number 1 this week having first placed there in December, has passed the million-sale mark as well – possibly thanks to an Oscar nomination for Best Song (the track was on the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack).

Incredibly, the last song to reach number one on the singles chart on three separate occasions was ‘Singing The Blues’, released by Guy Mitchell in 1957.
