Reports are surfacing that the legendary Manchester band The Stone Roses have split again. Lead singer Ian Brown is apparently working on a solo album.
At the bands Glasgow show at the weekend Ian Brown made comments that seem to confirm the split. At the Hampden Park gig, Brown told the crowd “Don’t be sad it’s over, be happy that it happened.”
The band has declined to comment on their future.
The Daily Star has reported that Ian Brown has been working on a solo album since May. This will be his first solo release in eight years.
The Stone Roses reformed back in 2011 and played at Wembley Stadium last week which was their first gig in four years. Fans have been wanting a new album from the band since they released two new singles ‘Beautiful Thing’ and ‘All For One’ last year. The bands last album was ‘Second Coming’ back in 1994.
