With their UK headline tour in full swing including a special album launch show at London’s Victoria, four-piece ISLAND continue their stellar year with the unveiling of yet another explosive new track ‘The Day I Die’, taken from their anticipated debut album ‘Feels Like Air’, out April 6th via FrenchKiss Records.

Slowing down the tempo, but still retaining their venue filler sound, ‘The Day I Die’ dishes up more attitude than ever before, featuring the bands gravelly vocals and atmospheric guitar rhythms. Speaking about the track, the band say – “It often seems in our increasingly digital world people have forgotten how to live. The song is about finding the power to escape the mundane.”

Following the announcement of their debut album ’Feels Like Air’ and their fifth UK headline show at London’s KOKO on May 23rd, Island also surprised fans by announcing a special album launch show on the 28th November at The Victoria where the band played their first gig. The first 100 tickets sold to their headline KOKO show will gain exclusive access to what promises to be an unmissable night. Tickets can be bought here.

ISLAND have spent the last two years winning over fans on the road, adeptly backed by their genre-melding guitar-inflected singles ‘Try,’ Dreaming Of’ and ‘Stargazer’, which have quickly gained them fans from the likes of Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and 6Music.

With four London headline shows under their belts, this year’s summer festival run took in the likes of The Great Escape, Citadel, Secret Garden Party and a career highlight set on the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds Festival. Following the UK tour, the band will be back on the road again later this month, taking in tour dates across Europe. Pre-order ‘Feels Like Air’ now – http://radi.al/FeelsLikeAir
