New York four piece Widowspeak share their cover of Neil Young’s ‘Harvest Moon’. The band re-interpret the classic track and really make it their own – woozy vocals and lashings of delicate guitar – whilst preserving the originals American folk twang. Molly Hamilton’s wistful voice makes for an effortless and natural re-work.

Widowspeak have received much praise for their most recent album ‘Expect the Best” which was released via Captured Tracks in August. It’s their heaviest record to date, but never loses the sense of quiet intimacy that they are known for. The band will embark on the European / UK leg of their tour this fall. Tour dates further down.

Listen to the Harvest Moon Cover below:

“Their fourth release with Captured Tracks, the label responsible for all your dream-pop desires, is their most dynamic yet and a strong signifier of the band’s live shows.” – Loud and Quiet

“…they masterfully combine to create nine tracks of complete immersion for the listener.” – London in Stereo

“Expect the Best stands out amongst other reverb-drenched indie rock for being exceptionally well composed. It’s meticulously layered so no one element overwhelms.” – Drowned in Sound
