Next week, the legendary Isle of Wight Festival will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary with an immense line up of artists across all of the stages and looks set to be a stunning weekend.  Recently, illustrious agent and promoter John Giddings detailed the origins of the festival on BBC 4 series of ‘Hits, Hype and Hustle: An Insider’s Guide’ and relived the festival’s incredible first year.  It is an amazing watch of the festival’s history and the exalted first ever line-up which is really just jaw-dropping.

This year’s festival  is set to be another golden, memorable few days, and there is something to appeal to everyone with a clever collection of artists and performers across many genres that will create a definite buzz and one to never forget.  This is truly an iconic festival and has proved as such since being revived in 2002 that it’s a proper party on the island every year, going from strength to strength with each year’s list of performers.  This year will be no exception and looks to top recent years.
