Displaying a knack for relatable lyrics and a skill for making simple song concepts work, singer-songwriter Chris Hornsby’s latest single ‘I Was Hoping I’d Run Into You’ is a rootsy acoustic pop number with a tale to tell. Relating the story of a protagonist waiting in vain to happen across the object of their affections, the track speaks of the universal difficulties in finding the right match – and does so with charm, wit and warmth.

The single, along with two excellent B-Sides (‘Black Suit’ & ‘Star Girl’) is available now from iTunes and Amazon.
