A female folk artist whose previous work includes the 2011 FATEA award winning EP ‘Nerves of Steel’), Flaming June (aka songwriter Louise Eatock) proved with her last EP ‘Rumpelstiltskin’ that she hasn’t lost her touch. Her new EP, ‘In Pusuit of Happiness’ is, arguably, her strongest yet – as evidenced by the powerful lead track ‘Freedom’s Fairytale For Girls’.

The song, which uses fairytale staples too deliver a strong message of female empowerment, is superb from top to bottom – a fine example of how to deliver a pointed meaning without hammering the point home too hard.
