This ‘COPYRIGHT ASSIGNMENT’ (“Agreement”) is made by and entered into between [NAME] (the “Publisher”) and [NAME] (the “Writer”), and is executed as a binding agreement as of the Effective Date (Publisher and Writer are sometimes herein referred to collectively as the “Parties”).

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE:

WHEREAS, the Parties desire to assign and transfer unto Writer by the Publisher the following musical  / lyrical composition copyright(s);

NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and other good and valuable consideration considered hereinafter, the receipt and sufficiency of which are acknowledged by the Parties, the Publisher and the Writer agree as follows:

  1. ASSIGNMENT AND TRANSFER

The Publisher hereby does sell, assign, and transfer unto Writer, and its successors, assigns and personal representatives, all right, title and interest in and to the following musical  / lyrical composition copyright(s):

FIRST COMPOSITION COPYRIGHT

Written and Composed by:

Copyrighted on:

Registered with the Copyright Office of [COUNTRY] on:

Copyright Entry, Class E, Copyright Number:

 

SECOND COMPOSITION COPYRIGHT
Musical / Lyrical Composition Entitled:

Written and Composed by:

Copyrighted on:

Registered with the Copyright Office of [COUNTRY] on:

Copyright Entry, Class E, Copyright Number:

  1. SALE OF MUSIC / LYRICAL COMPOSITION COPYRIGHTS

Compensation for the said assignment of musical / lyrical composition copyright(s), together with any and all existing copyrights in the [COUNTRY NAME] and throughout the world shall be the sum of [$AMOUNT] ([$#,###.##]) and shall be considered payment in full.

  1. REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTEES

The Publisher herby represents, warrants and agrees that:

(a)  Clear Title – The Publisher certifies and represents good title to said copyright, that it is free from all liens, encumbrances, or any known claims against said copyright. The certificate(s) of copyright are attached to this Agreement as Exhibit A.

(b)  At the Writer’s request, the Publisher agrees to execute all required documents or take such other actions, if any, as the Writer may reasonably request of the Publisher in connection with assignment of the copyright to the Writer.
